Sky Davey: Sky teaches Humanities at River’s Edge. He received a B.S. degree from the Bemidji State University and has taught in several charter and traditional high schools. Sky also has experience leading youth with the Conservation Corps of Minnesota. [email protected] -- Teacher
Stephanie Hoepner: Vice Chair - Stephanie received a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management. Most recently she was a Senior HR Associate with Medtronic. She also worked for the Voyageur Outward Bound School and is I excited about serving with an organization dedicated to building better citizens through expeditionary learning. Emily Lundberg: Secretary - Emily teaches English Language Arts at River’s Edge Academy. She received a B.A. degree from Wheaton College. She is passionate about urban education and providing students with the literacy skills needed to be successful in post-secondary education. [email protected] -- Teacher
Thomas Rupp: Treasurer - Thomas works with the Office of Budget and Finance for Hennepin County. He completed the Master of Public and Nonprofit Administration program at Metropolitan State University in Fall 2013. Thomas' son attends River's Edge Academy. [email protected] -- Community Member
Peg Skold: Chair - Before volunteering for ‘The Next Step’ at the Basilica, Peg was a pharmacist and has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of MN. She is on the steering committee of the Outward Bound Twin Cities Center. Peg brings a passion for juvenile justice and sustainable farming. [email protected] -- Community Member
Alexandra McDonough: Alex is a State Program Administrator Principal at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota. Alex is motivated to help students achieve success as learners, community members and citizens. [email protected] -- Community Member
Donna Patterson: Donne is a professor in the Education Department at Augsburg College. Her goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment at REA where each student can be actively engaged in their own learning in a way that works best for them. [email protected] -- Community Member
Jen Peterson: Jen is a Senior Accountant at Ernst and Young. She also has experience working with the YMCA. [email protected] -- Community Member
Kristine Rapp: Kristine brings board governance and project management experience to her role at River’s Edge Academy. Her son has attended REA for several years. She appreciates that REA provides an opportunity for students to develop skills beyond academic knowledge that are valuable in life and the workplace. [email protected] -- Parent
The Board of Directors meets at 6:30PM the third Thursday of the month at River’s Edge Academy.
