A partnership between River’s Edge Academy and the Voyeguer Outward Bound School is made possible by a large donation. Students at River’s Edge have the opportunity to participate in a series of Outward Bound programs throughout the school year.

The mission of VOBS is to change lives through challenge and discovery. Programs accomplish this mission by working in partnership with schools, non-profit organizations and other youth serving organizations in the Twin Cities.

Urban and Wilderness programs take place in and around the Twin Cities.
The St. Croix River Valley, Mississippi River and Taylor’s Falls all provide wonderful program opportunities, along with our great urban, regional and state parks.

Program opportunities include:

•    Paddling
•    Backpacking
•    Snowshoeing
•    Orienteering
•    Urban Expeditions
•    Ropes courses
•    Indoor and Outdoor Rock Climbing

Students participate in several one-day programs (Insight courses) in the fall as well  as a four-day, three-night course (Peer Leadership Expedition) on the Superior Hiking Trail in the spring.
